ROSS SMITH is an accomplished high profile marketer with “sharp end” experience working with companies in the UK, Canada, the USA and Australasia. Ross started work in the retail motor industry in the UK where he rose to the position of Regional Director for Nissan in Yorkshire.

In 1989 Ross then joined Britain’s largest FORD dealer group of 8 as Sales and Marketing Director and annual sales rose from 8,500 units to 13,700 units during his tenure. Ross became Chairman of the Ford Dealer Sales, Advertising and Marketing Association representing Britain’s 850 key dealers.

In 1994 Ross joined a young regional window replacement company as Sales and Marketing Director. During the following five years Ross steered the company from £9.0 million turnover to £88 million with profit of ₤6.4m pounds by 1999. The company is still trading as a larger and successful organisation.

Ross then set up his own successful consultancy known at that time as ‘Mindshelf’ offering corporations and business owners, branding, sales and marketing advice and support of the implementation of their new marketing plans. He now operates internationally from Bali and visits Australia regularly to support his local customer base of loyal customers.

He has been a regular faculty member for Opportune on its international Business Improvement Clinics round the world since 2001 and has assisted hundreds of business owners and corporate managers to substantially grow their operations in tough as well as in good times.

Over the past few years he has worked with more than 600 companies helping them communicate their points of difference to stimulate demand for their products and services. He is recognised internationally as a leading branding and imaging specialist in his field.
