Bob graduated as major prize winner from the Royal Military College, Australia at the rank of Lieutenant and over the next 16 years rose to that of Lieutenant Colonel through a variety of significant logistics, command and training appointments including appointment as Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of Australia. Since resigning from the Army Bob has undertaken a variety of executive roles, including his appointment as the inaugural Group General Manager HR for the Building Products Group of Boral Limited covering Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia. During this time he oversaw a substantial restructuring of the Group and the implementation of an HR training and development system.

On leaving Boral Bob established his consulting career as Principal of his own management consulting practice, focusing mainly on change management, organisational development and business transformation. He has undertaken a variety of consulting assignments for several multi-nationals including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Insurance Australia Group, IBM, Computer Science Corporation, Boral, Telstra, Commonwealth Bank, Westfield Holdings, PowerTel, RasGas and Zurich Insurance.

His international business consulting experience includes living and study in India, part ownership of an HR business in Singapore and consulting assignments in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar, New Zealand and the islands of the South Pacific. He undertook a 2 year assignment as the Special Advisor restructuring the Kingdom of Bahrain’s immigration organisation and subsequently completed a contract with the Economic Development Board of Bahrain as the team leader working with McKinsey and Co to restructure the Kingdom’s labour market and build the organisations required to deliver the solutions, a world first at the time. He currently focuses on advising small and medium businesses across Australia on Fair Work compliance and HR organisational best practice.

Bob holds a Master’s degree in Science, a Diploma in Military Studies as well as the following professional accreditations:
